These Terms explain the rules for using the Sigma Octantis Studio website and First Answer.

Sigma Octantis Studio builds small digital tools for self-trust, agency, and better choices in an AI-saturated world. First Answer is a private place to write what you think before asking elsewhere.

By using this website or First Answer, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website or app.

Future Sigma Octantis Studio products may have their own terms depending on their features, pricing, platforms, or delivery methods.

First Answer

First Answer is a narrow private tool for writing your own answer before asking anyone or anything else.

The app may allow you to:

• write what you are trying to figure out;
• write your first answer;
• optionally write what you are afraid of;
• optionally write what you would choose if no one had to approve it;
• optionally write one small move you could try;
• save a card;
• return later and record what happened.

First Answer does not provide AI-generated answers, coaching, scoring, diagnosis, interpretation, professional advice, or suggested moves.

Accounts

Some parts of First Answer may require an account. You are responsible for providing accurate account information and for keeping your login information secure.

You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account, except where caused by our failure to use reasonable security measures.

Your content

You keep ownership of the content you write in First Answer.

By using the app, you give us the limited permission needed to store, process, display, back up, and transmit your content so we can provide the service to you.

You are responsible for the content you choose to write. Do not use First Answer to store content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, or violates the rights of others.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the website or app. This includes not attempting to:

• access another user’s account or data;
• interfere with the security or operation of the service;
• reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or disrupt the service;
• use the service for unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or harmful purposes;
• copy or resell the service without permission;
• upload or submit malicious code.

Subscriptions and paid features

First Answer may offer paid subscriptions or premium features. Current prices, features, billing periods, and plan details are shown before purchase.

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe or another payment provider. We do not store your full payment card details on our own servers.

By starting a paid subscription, you authorize the payment provider to charge the applicable fees for the selected plan and any renewals, unless you cancel before the next renewal date.

Cancellations

You can cancel a paid First Answer subscription through the billing portal or the account/settings area made available in the app.

Cancellation stops future renewals. Unless otherwise stated during checkout or required by law, canceling a subscription does not automatically refund charges already paid, and access to paid features may continue until the end of the current billing period.

Refunds

Refunds may depend on the payment provider, your location, the plan you purchased, the date of purchase, and applicable law.

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the website or app. We may also add, remove, or change features, pricing, limits, or availability.

We will try to avoid unnecessary disruption, but we do not guarantee that the website or app will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

No professional advice

First Answer is not a therapy app, medical service, mental health service, legal service, financial service, coaching service, or professional advisory service.

The app is a private tool for writing and returning to your own answers. It is not a substitute for professional advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency support.

If you are facing an emergency or an immediate safety issue, contact local emergency services or an appropriate professional resource.

Intellectual property

The website, app, branding, text, design, product concepts, interface, code, and other materials are owned by Sigma Octantis Studio or its licensors, except where otherwise stated.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, sell, or use our materials for commercial purposes without permission, except where allowed by law.

The website and app may rely on third-party providers for hosting, database infrastructure, authentication, payments, deployment, analytics, logs, or support.
